We are looking for an experienced engineer to join our team focused on advancing AI software performance on Intel platforms. This role involves contributing to the open-source PyTorch ecosystem, optimizing libraries and kernels for Intel hardware, and collaborating with the global developer community. Key Responsibilities: Maintain and enhance the PyTorch open-source ecosystem through upstream contributions and GitHub collaboration. Design and develop AI software with a primary focus on enabling and optimizing PyTorch libraries, operators, and kernels for Intel CPUs and GPU backends. Implement distributed algorithms, including model/data parallel frameworks and asynchronous dataflow communication for machine learning and deep learning workloads. Develop deep learning primitives and custom kernels using mathematical libraries optimized for Intel architectures. Profile distributed deep learning models to identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions in collaboration with ML/DL researchers, MLOps engineers, and software teams building optimized libraries for Intel platforms. Qualifications: Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field +3 years of experience in: Developing code in Python. Machine learning and deep learning algorithms and models +1 year of experience in: C++ programming Hands-on experience with PyTorch framework. Linux environments. Intermediate English level. Preferred Qualifications:   Understanding of ML pipelines and workloads Knowledge of AI recommendation systems Proficiency with parallel programing (C++ and CUDA). Familiarity with Intel GPU architectures and oneAPI Experience with upstream contribution processes and community engagement +1 year of experience working with Git and GitHub workflows, including pull requests, code reviews, and collaborative development.
