The Materials Specialist is responsible for managing material flow, and supply continuity to support factory operations. This role serves as a key point of contact for materials planning and inventory control, working cross-functionally to ensure production schedules are met while optimizing cost, quality, and service levels. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support material planning and execution to support short- and long-term production schedules Analyze demand forecasts, production plans, and bills of material to ensure material availability Maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess, obsolescence, and shortages Serve as escalation point for material shortages, supplier delays, and production disruptions Action "Keep the Business Running" inventory transactions ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Utilizing Intel Engineering database to create new Intel part numbers for factory Bill of Material creation Ensure standard costs are loaded to SAP Master Data for individual part numbers Generate costed Bill of Materials as requested by Program Managers Partner with purchasing, production, and logistics teams to align materials strategy Core Competencies: Strategic thinking and problem solving Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Data-driven decision making Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Continuous improvement mindset Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision Effective communication and teamwork skills Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment This is an Intel Contract Employee (ICE) position and relocation will not be provided. This is a 12-month temporary contract with the possibility of extension. Extension is subject to mutual agreement between the candidate and the business. Qualifications: You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. This position is not eligible for Intel's immigration sponsorship. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, engineering, or related field and 5+ years of experience in the following: Materials management, inventory control, and manufacturing operations Supporting factory or production environments Microsoft Office Suite ERP/MRP systems, specifically SAP/S4 Hana Preferred Qualifications Experience in regulated manufacturing environments Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and inventory optimization strategies Prior experience leading projects or mentoring team members APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar credentials a plus Demonstrated ability to analyze data and make inventory and planning decisions Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with cross functional/cross geo teams as well as Senior Managers.
