ROLE SUMMARY We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to collaborate and partner across high-performing, cross-functional software engineering teams.  In this role, you will build and support rapid prototyping that meet specific outcomes, innovate using new technologies, and model the ownership behaviors that define our engineering culture. This Manager role supports the creation of innovative AI solutions that have high impact to the organizational and its strategic goals.  You’ll work with multiple teams, be recognized as a domain SME and navigate through complexity and ambiguity to deliver results. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate and partner across high-performing, cross-functional software engineering teams Partner with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions Develop and test prototype AI solutions to meet specific objectives while maintaining high-quality code standards Model ownership behaviors and accountability for team outcomes ROLE BEHAVIORS Don't Lose Your Curiosity: Proactively investigates root causes; experiments with new technologies and AI capabilities; protects time for exploration; treats failure as learning; discovers requirements through immersion in problem spaces Own the Quality: Takes end-to-end ownership of features and systems; supports production operations; ensures quality over speed; never ships code without rigorous review; builds trust through rapid delivery of working solutions Think in Systems: Maps complex system interactions across technical and business domains; anticipates cascading effects; designs systems that degrade gracefully; understands how technology changes impact business operations Be Polymath Oriented: Applies knowledge from one domain to inform decisions in another; studies adjacent fields like design, business, or science; begins learning domain language of business partners Communicate with Precision: Writes clear documentation and specifications; reduces ambiguity in requirements; crafts effective prompts for AI tools; adapts communication style for different audiences QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar field 4+ years of experience in software engineering, data science, or applied AI Proven ability to build working prototypes and AI applications using modern languages and frameworks FOUNDATIONAL-LEVEL SKILLS Architecture & Design:  You can explain common patterns (MVC, microservices) and contribute to architectural discussions. Code Quality & Review:  You write readable code, use linting tools, write basic tests, and participate in code reviews. DevOps & CI/CD:  You configure basic pipelines and understand containerization basics.
