Hong Kong, China Hong Kong, Hong Kong (On-Site) The Role The Bid Manager is responsible for the development of bid strategy and high-quality winning proposals to capture the opportunities. This entails the management of multi-disciplinary teams to work closely together through the bid development process.  Responsibilities Work closely with Capture Leader to prepare bid strategy and winning price addressing customer needs and budgets Lead the multi-disciplinary teams to work closely together to prepare the bid according to the bid strategy and ensure that cost estimates are effectively reviewed so that the offers are competitive and in line with winning pricing Creating and controlling the Bid schedule and resource plan; leading and coordinating multi-disciplinary teams to achieve key milestones Establishing and controlling the requirements baseline (technical and non-technical), including compliance traceability, allocation to Work Packages and the end to end estimating process Lead the multi-disciplinary teams in the creation of the bid deliverables and ensuring review and governance, leading to a high-quality proposal Work closely with Capture Leader and Contract Manager to negotiate and finalize the contracts To lead Complex Bids and Multi-Entities Bids independently Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business management / Marketing or equivalent disciplines Strong and up-to-date practical knowledge of tender processes, tools, organization and cost drivers covering electronic technologies Familiar with   project management process, WBS and matrix organization Capability to work in composite, fast moving context under high pressure Proactive and capable to substantiate complex decision in front of challenging counterpart and management Proactive, self-motivated, responsible and a good team player with strong interpersonal skills Experience in project driven company preferably in transportation is a plus Some knowledge or experience in   Railway industry (e.g. AFC, COMS or SCADA)   would be highly regarded   Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
