Job Description: Job Title: Automation Tester, AVP Location: Bangalore/ Pune, India Role Description The Cryptography Engineering and Solutions team at Deutsche Bank, operating under the Chief Security Office (CSO), defines the bank’s cryptography strategy and provides expert guidance on all crypto-related matters, including audits and regulatory compliance. For the CertHub initiative, we are seeking an IT Security Developer to contribute to strategic programs within Cryptography Engineering and Solutions. Associate Information Security Specialist to support the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with a focus on cryptographic services and automation. The role involves contributing to secure Java-based development within IS Technology, assisting in streamlining certificate management processes, and helping reduce IT complexity. Build and execute API‑level automation for certificate onboarding, validation, issuance, renewal, and lifecycle operations. Work closely with development and onboarding teams to understand feature requirements and convert them into test scenarios and automation suites. Implement regression, functional, integration, and performance test cases to ensure quality across CertHub microservices. Develop test data generation utilities, mock services, and automation frameworks as required for PKI-related workflows. Participate in CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins/GitHub Actions/GitLab etc.) to ensure automated tests run continuously. Investigate test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. Create and maintain clear test documentation, reports, and dashboards. Ensure compatibility testing across different environments (Dev, QA, Pre-Prod). Building REST API automation using frameworks like RestAssured, TestNG, JUnit. Writing Java utilities to parse, validate, or manipulate digital certificates (X.509), CSRs, CRLs. Integrating certificate workflows with HSMs, key stores (JKS/PKCS12), or other crypto components. Developing mock servers or simulators for upstream/downstream certificate services. Enhancing or maintaining internal libraries used for automation or certificate validation. Implementing Java logic to verify signature algorithms, encoding, byte-array comparisons, or ASN.1 parsing. Your skills and experience 5+ years of hands-on development experience in IT Security or related domains. Strong hands‑on experience in test automation using Java and/or Python, with the ability to build reusable, scalable automation frameworks. Proficiency in automating REST APIs, microservices, and backend workflows , preferably in security or certificate‑driven platforms. Solid understanding of software testing principles , including functional, regression, integration, and performance testing. Experience working with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab) and integrating automated test suites into pipelines. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues by analyzing logs, API flows, system behavior, and root causes across distributed systems. Familiarity with working in Agile/Scrum environments, collaborating closely with developers, DevOps, and product teams. Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a mindset focused on quality, reliability, and automation-first delivery . Added Advantage Knowledge of Cryptography , hashing, digital signatures, and secure key handling. Understanding of PKI concepts such as X.509 certificates, CSR generation, CRLs, OCSP, trust chains, and certificate lifecycle. Exposure to GCP or any major cloud platform (AWS/Azure), including IAM, KMS, Secret Managers, and cloud-native microservice testing.
