Job Description To direct and manage the Area resources, in line with the Bank's short and long To manage a cluster of designated branches by devising effective strategies, directing and managing assigned resources, in line with the Bank's short and long term plan, policies and values with a view to generating the highest return on capital employed, promoting customer loyalty by providing a superior customer experience and identifying and promoting new business, in order to ensure future growth without incurring unmanageable risks. The incumbent is also expected to manage and drive a people strategy that will ensure succession planning, optimal deployment within the Area under their management as well as training and coaching to ensure adequate upskilling and the creation of a pool of talent that will match and deliver the bank’s current and future strategies. Business Development and Sales Management Active participation in budgeting providing key insights of the peculiarities of the cluster of branches under management, Budget cascade. Develop, manage and implement a business development plan that will support the attainment of all sales targets and business growth KPIs. Financial Resources Management Ensure all the assigned branches are managed within the approved cost budget. Ensure a return on investment for all business expenditure Coordinate and drive business initiatives to optimize operational efficiencies within all the branches under management such as increased digital capability uptake. Operations and Risk Controls Ensure soundness in the daily operations of the cluster  of assigned branches Monitor Regulatory compliance of the cluster. Be the point of reference for the cascade of processes, standards and any revisions thereof to the cluster. Act as the point of escalation for all processes to ensure efficient execution of policies within the assigned cluster. Client Experience Ensure attainment of all bank service promises in the cluster in order to grow client base as well as drive retention of the existing base. Coordinate and manage complaints within the cluster ensuring effective closure and service recovery. Be the escalation point for client queries for the cluster. Coordinating with various functions within the bank to obtain solutions for clients. People Management Ensure effective identification and nurturing of talent within the cluster. Develop succession plans for all critical roles within own cluster. Drive a high performance culture within teams under management. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's Degree in Commerce or related field.
