Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Product Development Manager to lead one or more product squads dedicated to advancing our online banking channels. In this pivotal role, you’ll be accountable for shaping, discovering, and delivering high-impact digital solutions that address real client needs and drive business outcomes across payments, collections, and liquidity management. Job Description Your key responsibilities will include the following; Product Leadership & Accountability: Owning the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for assigned online channel capabilities, ensuring alignment with business strategy and client needs. Acting as the accountable product leader for your squad(s), focusing on outcomes rather than outputs, and translate strategic goals into clear, outcome-oriented product opportunities and hypotheses. Product Discovery: Leading continuous product discovery using techniques such as user interviews, prototype and usability testing, data analysis, and experimentation. Collaborating closely with Product Design and Engineering to explore and validate multiple solution options, reducing delivery risk, and maximizing value through early problem and solution validation. Modern Product Development Practices: Serving as the product leader within empowered, cross-functional squads, framing work around customer problems, desired outcomes, and success metrics. Applying iterative delivery, MVP thinking, and experimentation to scale what works, balancing client experience, commercial value, technical sustainability, and risk. Stakeholder & Value Stream Collaboration: Working closely with partners across business, technology, operations, compliance, and risk. Clearly articulating product decisions and trade-offs to senior stakeholders, and contributing to shaping portfolio priorities and investment decisions across the value stream. Team & Ways of Working: Coaching and developing product managers, analysts, and cross-functional team members. Being a role model for outcome-driven, evidence-based, and transparent ways of working, emphasizing discovery discipline, collaboration, and continuous learning. Send us your CV if you have the above and below skills and experience required; 8 years or more experience in Product Management or Product Development roles Proven application of continuous discovery and iterative delivery practices Demonstrated experience engaging with clients to gather feedback, validate customer needs, and deliver user-centric solutions Track record of leading digital products or platforms, ideally within complex or regulated environments Experience in financial services or digital platforms is a plus but not required Honors degree preferred Education Bachelor`s Degrees and Advanced Diplomas: Business, Commerce and Management Studies (Required) Absa Bank Limited is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer.
