Job Description Reporting to the Head – Credit, the Credit Manager (Sanctioning) is responsible for managing credit risk through portfolio analysis, evaluating creditworthiness, and making decision on applications. Key duties involve structuring transactions, conducting financial assessments, ensuring compliance with banking regulations, and managing relationships with stakeholders. The individual will primarily be responsible for, but not limited to the following: Credit Risk Management:  Analyse, evaluate, and approve credit applications within Commercial segment while monitoring portfolio quality to minimize impairments. Portfolio Management:  Conduct ongoing review of client portfolios, managing credit risk, and proposing improvements to the lending policy. Strategic Input:  Provide input to credit committees regarding credit appetite, risk mitigation strategies, and deal structuring . Compliance & Reporting:  Ensure adherence to banking regulations, internal credit controls, and prepare comprehensive, accurate reports for senior management. Operational Excellence:  Leverage data analytics to discern trends that inform strategic decision-making.    Ensuring that Credit Audits of the respective portfolio are of an acceptable nature.  Drive annual reviews of Credit policies/frameworks Qualifications & Experience A Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, or Business Management, or related field, is required. Specialized qualifications like CA, MBA, or CFA will be added advantage. 2–10 years of experience in credit, banking, or risk management within the financial services industry. Skills & Competencies Strong analytical abilities, proficiency in financial spread analysis, knowledge of lending procedures, and excellent communication skills.
