Job Description This role manages a sales team and distribution strategy, and is accountable for the sales targets and profitability of the team, over periods of up to a year. Key Areas of Responsibility include: Managing sales and expense budgets for a sales team in a branch against set targets. Responsible for distribution strategy of products within a branch. Accountable for local marketing. Identifies and creates coordinated sales opportunities. Responsible for external networking and relationship building with key door openers. Ensuring delivery of customer value. Managing, developing, appointing, training and developing Broker Consultants, Franchise Consultants and Broker Account Managers. Assist in building and bringing on-board new Brokers and Franchise Agents. Requirements: Matric Tertiary qualification in Business or Commerce Clear credit and criminal record 3-5 years experience within a Sales Management role 3-5 years long term insurance experience Preference will be given to applicants that have worked in a broker environment previously Valid driver's license and own vehicle Willingness to travel Skills Building Trust, Change Management, Client Needs Assessments, Commercial Acumen, Consultative Selling, Customer-Focused, Customer Service, Customer Understanding, Direct Selling, Executing Plans, Identifying Customer Needs, Identifying Sales Opportunities, Sales Software, Strengthening Customer Relationships, Upselling Competencies Builds Effective Teams Builds Networks Business Insight Collaborates Communicates Effectively Customer Focus Drives Results Ensures Accountability Education Bachelor Commerce Closing Date 20 February 2026 , 23:59 The appointment will be made from the designated group in line with the Employment Equity Plan of Old Mutual South Africa and the specific business unit in question.
