Kuala-Lumpur, Malaysia (On-Site) As Hitachi Rail GTS, we are advancing rail signalling and safety solutions to ensure safe and efficient railway operations worldwide.  Our technologies help to bring billions of people reliably to their destinations by rail every year – making sustainable mobility a reality.      Procurement Protege Trainee (Ref. No.  R1011855 )   at our location in Kuala-Lumpur      You will enjoy having these responsibilities:   Provide administrative and operational support to the Procurement team, including Category Managers (CMs) and Project Procurement Managers (PPMs). Handle procurement documentation, assist with simple RFQ/RFP activities, coordinate with suppliers, and support supplier onboarding and compliance processes. Suitable for candidates beginning their career in procurement, supply chain, or business operations. Supporting supplier onboarding: collect onboarding documents (ISO, Insurance Certificate, Business Registration Certificate, Banking Details) and coordinate with suppliers until onboarding is completed (supplier registered in Hitachi Rail supplier database and ERP). Compliance processes: launch NDA, conduct Third Party Integrity Assessment, perform Visual Compliance Checking (Trade Sanction), Financial Checking (CreditSafe Report), and EcoVadis Assessment. Simple RFQ/RFP activities: assist in sourcing quotations based on needs/requests from the CM. You have:   Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are welcome; internship experience in procurement or logistics is an advantage. Experience in coordinating suppliers or handling documentation is beneficial - Training will be provided. Basic understanding of procurement processes (RFQ, supplier communication). Good Microsoft Excel and SharePoint skills; willingness to learn procurement tools. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Comfortable communicating with suppliers via email or calling. Eager to learn and develop procurement skills. Organized, disciplined, and able to follow structured processes. Good team player with a positive attitude. Able to manage multiple tasks with supervision. Professional communication skills and willingness to engage with suppliers.
