We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Design Lead to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our growing business needs by leading the design strategy across multiple products. You will be responsible for building and scaling a robust design system that ensures consistency, usability, and efficiency across our expanding product portfolio. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and other designers to deliver intuitive and user-centered design solutions that drive business impact and elevate the overall user experience. Responsibilities Lead Design Vision and Execution: Define and drive the overall design strategy across products, ensuring high-quality user experiences that align with Amartha’s goals and brand identity. Collaborate Across Functions: Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into clear design goals and lead the design process from concept to execution. Partner with Engineering and Product: Collaborate with engineering and product teams to ensure that designs are feasible, scalable, and implemented with high fidelity. End-to-End Design Delivery: Own design outcomes for high-impact projects — from research and ideation to final delivery — while facilitating cross-functional workshops and decision-making. Prototype and Validate Ideas: Create prototypes to test and validate ideas, incorporating user feedback and data into iterative design improvements. Improve UX Through Testing: Conduct usability testing and continuously improve products based on insights, ensuring designs are user-centered and impactful. Mentor and Grow the Design Team: Provide direction, feedback, and mentorship to junior designers to raise the quality bar and promote a culture of design excellence. Proven Product Design Expertise: 6+ years of experience in end-to-end product design with a portfolio demonstrating strong visual, interaction, and UX design skills. Craft and Attention to Detail: A strong sense of visual design, layout, and typography, with the ability to deliver polished and thoughtful experiences. Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate design ideas and decisions to stakeholders of varying backgrounds. Holistic Design Process Understanding: Skilled across all phases of the design process — research, wireframing, prototyping, interaction design, and usability testing. User-Centered and Data-Informed: Ability to incorporate both user feedback and business data into your design decisions. Proficient in Modern Design Tools: Comfortable using tools like Figma and other collaborative platforms to communicate and manage design work.
