 Department The Sports Science team applies data, research, and performance analytics to support athlete training and competition. This department works closely with medical, nutrition, and performance teams to enhance athlete performance, reduce injury risk, and support evidence-based decision-making. Their work plays a critical role in monitoring athlete readiness, evaluating performance trends, and informing training strategies in a high-performance environment. Responsibilities Assist the Sports Science team with athlete monitoring and assessment activities, ensuring accurate and timely data collection Support the planning, preparation, and calibration of testing equipment and evaluation protocols Assist with the implementation of monitoring and assessment interventions to support research and performance objectives Support data processing, database maintenance, and basic data analysis related to athlete performance metrics Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment in accordance with established protocols Collaborate with other technical performance teams to support sport science initiatives across the organization Assist with evaluating new sport science technologies and tools to support departmental innovation Support the Sports Science team on additional projects and initiatives as needed Qualifications   Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Graduate degree program in a related field such as Sport Science, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Data Science, or a similar discipline Strong work ethic with high attention to detail and follow-through Demonstrated ability to manage, organize, and analyze data in a structured environment Ability to follow testing protocols and methodological procedures accurately Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while meeting expected outcomes Strong interest in working with elite athletes, particularly within combat or high-performance sports Experience working with athletes in weight-categorized sports is preferred Program Details We offer internship opportunities across IMG, On Location, Professional Bull Riders (PBR), TKO Corporate, UFC, and WWE. Locations include New York City, Atlanta, Austin, Raleigh, Dallas, Fort Worth, Las Vegas, and Stamford, CT. All internships are in the office and in-person, unless otherwise noted. In addition to hands-on experience and exposure to the global sports and entertainment industry, interns participate in events such as welcome/farewell sessions, a speaker series featuring company leaders, and career training workshops addressing everything from LinkedIn profile enhancement to resume building, interviewing skills, and networking . Internships are 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, or standard local working hours in the intern location. Important Dates By January 30th: Internships are posted to our career sites. February 28th: Applications will be accepted through this date. March 1st to March 27th: Recruiters will contact candidates and begin the interview process. March 30th to April 17th: Offers will be extended to selected candidates. May 18th : Program start date. The program will be 12 weeks in length . If selected for the position, a recruiter will call to extend an offer. If you have not been selected, a recruiter will reach out to let you know.
