They should be able to concisely and accurately share knowledge with their teammates.  About the Role We are seeking an experienced corporate finance professional to join us as an AI Corporate Finance Data Specialist. You will draw on your deep expertise in strategic financial planning, capital allocation, budgeting and forecasting, investor relations, and corporate development (including both organic and inorganic growth) to create high-quality data annotations, real-world examples, and detailed inputs that train and refine xAI’s AI models. You will partner closely with our technical teams to improve annotation tools, develop realistic corporate finance scenarios, and help ensure our models capture the full complexity of actual corporate finance decision-making. The role calls for sharp analytical thinking, quick adaptability, and genuine excitement about applying AI in a fast-moving environment. Responsibilities  Use proprietary software to deliver precise inputs, labels, and annotations for corporate finance projects, producing high-quality training data for AI models.   Create and curate realistic, high-fidelity scenarios involving financial planning & analysis (FP&A), budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, capital structure decisions, investor communications, earnings call preparation, corporate development (M&A strategy, integration planning, synergy modeling), capital raising, and treasury management.   Partner with technical staff to support the development of new AI tasks and contribute to innovative tooling.   Help design and refine efficient annotation tools tailored to corporate finance workflows.   Identify, analyze, and break down complex corporate finance problems aligned with your professional experience to improve model performance.   Execute tasks accurately while maintaining consistency and adapting to new requirements. Required Qualifications   Professional experience in corporate finance roles such as CFO, Corporate Development (M&A, strategy, integrations), FP&A, Investor Relations, Treasury, or similar positions at public or large private companies.   Strong command of written and spoken English (informal and professional).   Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.   Superior reading comprehension and ability to exercise sound independent judgment with incomplete or ambiguous information.   Genuine interest in technological innovation and its application to corporate finance. Preferred Qualifications   Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, or equivalent finance credentials).   Experience mentoring or training junior team members in corporate finance practices, such as financial modeling, forecasting, investor presentations, or deal execution.   Comfort recording audio or video sessions for data collection purposes.   Prior exposure to AI, machine learning, or data annotation workflows. Location & Other Expectations This position is based fully remote. If you are based in the US, please note we are unable to hire in the states of Wyoming and Illinois at this time. We are unable to provide visa sponsorship. Team members are expected to work from 9:00am - 5:30pm PST for the first two weeks of training and 9:00am - 5:30pm in their own timezone thereafter. For those who will be working from a personal device, please note your computer must be a Chromebook, Mac with MacOS 11.0 or later, or Windows 10 or later. Compensation $45 - $100 per hour The posted pay range is intended for U.S.-based candidates and depends on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications. For international candidates, our recruiting team can provide an estimated pay range for your location. Benefits: Hourly pay is just one part of our total rewards package at xAI.
