About The Team & Role Overview The Lending Platform Team is responsible for building a globally scalable lending platform that manages the end-to-end lifecycle of shared/overlapped lending capabilities. This platform will serve as the foundational layer across all lending products, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and reusability of core services and workflows. As a member of this team, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring that we achieve our mission to Develop shared services that are flexible and configurable to support multiple lending products across different geographies. Maximise users of the platform’s velocity of development while balancing stability Ensuring cost efficiency and scalability for our continuous global expansion Technical & Architectural Skills 5 years of experience in Java; Python is nice to have Strong knowledge of AWS tech stack, such as ECS, Step Function, Lambda Experience in architecting and maintaining scalable, distributed systems serving multiple products across countries. Strong architectural principles , able to select the right technologies, tools, and approaches based on product and operational needs. Expertise in SLA-based queues and processing , including: Real-time event handling Near real-time data pipelines Batch processing for large-scale data operations Skilled in workflow orchestration , capable of designing low-latency, high-volume processes with efficient routing and execution. Experience in configuring and managing decisioning logic within complex workflows. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines , automated testing, and modern DevOps practices for reliable and rapid deployment. Data & Processing Skills Background in ETL/ELT (Extract, Transform, Load) processes for high-quality data movement and integration. Hands-on experience with Databricks or equivalent data engineering platforms. Familiarity with data pipelines , streaming, and data modeling for analytics and operational insights. Character Traits Curious and adaptable: Able to learn new technologies and adapt to evolving business requirements. System thinker: Understands how platform-level decisions impact product scalability, reliability, maintainability and cost efficiency Collaborative: Works effectively across teams and functions, with clear communication and ownership. Delivery-focused: Balances architectural elegance with pragmatic implementation. Good to Have (Preferred Skills) Experience in training, deploying, and scaling ML models using MLOps frameworks and tools eg. AWS Sagemaker Experience in Business Process Model and Notation tools and Decision Model and Notation Tools such as Flowable/ Camunda. Understanding of risk and decisioning systems , credit modeling , or financial workflows Experience in Lending Companies
