Job Opening: Medical Biller Working Hours: US Hours (9am-5pm EST) Full-Time, Remote Work. Key Responsibilities Prepare and submit medical claims to insurance companies and patients for services rendered, ensuring adherence to all billing regulations. Review and follow up on outstanding claims, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed. Maintain accurate billing records and documentation, updating patient and payer information as necessary. Communicate with healthcare providers, insurance representatives, and patients to clarify and resolve billing issues. Monitor payment trends and assist in maintaining accounts receivable to ensure optimal cash flow. Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies to ensure compliance. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in Medical Billing, Healthcare Administration, or related field preferred. A minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing and coding. Proficient in various billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding (CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS), and payer requirements. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills in order to efficiently handle billing processes. Effective communication skills to liaise with healthcare professionals, insurance companies, and patients. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while juggling multiple tasks.
