Job Opening:  QA Software Tester Location:  South Africa (Remote – US Hours - 9am-5pm EST) Type:  Full-Time Overview: The QA Software Tester is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software applications before release. This role involves developing and executing test cases, identifying bugs, and collaborating with developers to ensure high-quality deliverables that meet client and user expectations. Key Responsibilities: Design, document, and execute manual and automated test cases. Identify, record, and track bugs through defect tracking systems. Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and acceptance criteria. Review software requirements and technical specifications for clarity and testability. Participate in sprint planning and contribute to quality assurance process improvements. Verify fixes and validate that resolved issues meet expected outcomes. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a QA Tester or in a similar quality assurance role. Familiarity with testing tools such as JIRA. Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and Agile methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Preferred: Experience with API testing and automation frameworks. Basic knowledge of SQL and version control (e.g., Git). ISTQB or similar certification is a plus.
