This role focuses on building and sustaining meaningful volunteer relationships, ensuring a positive experience from recruitment through recognition, and creating opportunities for volunteers to actively contribute to the mission of MS Canada.     Key Areas of Impact:  Deliver a positive volunteer experience throughout the volunteer life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding, training, stewardship, and recognition, within their region and beyond as required.  Strengthen engagement by identifying volunteers with leadership potential and connecting them to opportunities across the organization.  Support local and national community engagement activities, such as community hubs and both in-person and virtual events.  Collaborate with colleagues within and across -portfolios to identify volunteer needs and contribute to the development and implementation of volunteer strategies that deepen and broaden engagement and collective action.  Our ideal candidate:  Is confident, energetic and results oriented  Has experience in volunteer engagement and the ability to mobilize volunteers to achieve organizational goals  Is highly organized with strong attention to detail  Is excellent at communicating, both verbally and written  Thrives in working in a fast-paced professional environment with specific targets  Has a track record of strong customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships with a variety of staff, volunteers and community partners  Cultivates a positive and supportive atmosphere by recognizing volunteer efforts, assisting volunteers with their endeavours and evaluating their experience  Can always maintain confidentiality, with sensitivity to issues of disability and diversity  Has exceptional computer literacy with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and is proficient with database software and survey software
