About the Role We are seeking a mid–senior level Database Administrator (DBA) to own the reliability, performance, security, and operational excellence of our database platforms. This role goes beyond traditional DBA responsibilities, emphasizing automation, cloud database services, and close collaboration with application teams. Key Responsibilities Administer, maintain, and support production and non-production database environment Automate routine DBA tasks to reduce manual effort and operational risk Support and improve CI/CD pipelines for database changes Operate and support cloud-managed database services Advise teams on database selection, configuration, and scaling strategies Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience in performance tuning Deep knowledge of at least one major database platform (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle), with working familiarity across others Experience with cloud database services (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform preferred) and Git-based workflows Scripting and automation skills using Python or similar languages Experience with CI/CD practices for database changes and schema management frameworks Observability experience, including metrics, logging, and alerting for database systems Disclaimer: CodeNinja is an equal opportunity employer.
