As a Back-End Developer in the Commercial XP or In Life XP STO, you will be part of a full-stack team of developers, working on high-impact initiatives that make our platform fully programmable, automate workflows, and deliver secure, scalable digital experiences.  You will design and implement back-end services, APIs, and integration frameworks that enable automation, observability, and repeatability at scale. This role is ideal for developers who thrive in impact-driven, cross-functional squads focused on measurable outcomes.  Key Responsibilities    API & Platform Development  Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices for core domains (e.g., In-Life Operations, Commerce).  Deliver SDKs and connectors (e.g., ServiceNow) for enterprise-scale integrations.  Ensure APIs meet performance, security, and scalability standards.  Automation & Standardization  Develop reusable components and enforce patterns that reduce manual processes.  Contribute to CI/CD pipeline standardization and automation to improve delivery speed and reliability.  Security & Quality  Implement automated scanning and enforce test coverage.  Apply best practices for secure software supply chains and observability.  Facilitating Innovation  Support initiatives like agentic AI enablement, constraint-solving engines, and programmable network strategies.  Collaborate with architects and data engineers to embrace reference implementations and guardrails. Must Have  Strong proficiency in .NET Core, Python, or Node.js for back-end development.  Experience with API design, microservices, and integration frameworks.  Familiarity with AWS Lambda/ECS/EKS, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).  Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and observability tools.  Experience with enterprise integrations (e.g., ServiceNow) is a plus.  Nice to have  Exposure to agentic AI concepts, constraint-solving engines (OR-Tools), or data-driven architectures.  Experience with low-code platforms like Mendix or Salesforce.  Experience in telemetry-driven platforms and programmable network strategies.  Understanding of security best practices (RBAC, SBOM, dependency scanning).  Ability to work in a fast-paced, outcome-driven environment with cross-STO collaboration.  Mindset  Builder mentality with strong ownership.  Code-first, automation-first approach.  A full-stack learning approach to ensure team resilience.
