We are seeking a dedicated RN to join our Hospice Inpatient Unit team on a per diem basis during day shifts and work every other weekends. This role involves delivering high-quality nursing care to patients in a comfortable and supportive environment. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure that each patient’s symptoms are managed effectively while honoring their wishes and dignity. Assess patient needs and determine scope and frequency of required services. Implement plans of care based on individual patient and family needs, focusing on comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Administer medications and manage symptoms effectively. Coordinate care with other members of the hospice care team to provide comprehensive support. Document patient care accurately and timely on all relevant records. Maintain a professional and respectful environment, honoring patient confidentiality and rights. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current RN license in good standing to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Prior experience in hospice, palliative care, or a medical/surgical setting preferred. Strong understanding of hospice philosophy and principles of end-of-life care. Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to manage complex patient care needs and provide emotional support to families. CPR certification required. Reliable transportation. Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption. Proof of Influenza (Flu) Vaccination or an approved Medical or Religious exemption.
