Position type: Hourly We are seeking a motivated Controls Engineering Intern to join our engineering team. This role is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Programming, or Networking and Communication, with a strong interest in controls and automation. This position will support the development and testing of logistics system components. You’ll work closely with a cross-functional team to generate controls documentation, layouts, and descriptions, while contributing to process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Assist in building and testing logistics system building blocks Generate and maintain controls documentation, including layouts and tagging Support network setup and configuration tasks Conduct audits of network panels and devices Learn and apply PLC and HMI configuration and programming concepts Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to improve system performance Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Programming, or Networking and Communication Interest in controls, automation, and industrial systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Familiarity with PLCs, HMIs, and network systems is a plus Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent communication and documentation skills Requirements for All Co-op/Intern Positions: Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited college or university A minimum GPA of 3.0 Available to complete the entire 3-6 month assignment Have the right to work in the U.S. without restriction Outstanding problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills Excellent writing/verbal communication and presentation skills Accomplished computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and database experience Strong work ethic and the ability to work in cross-functional teams to deliver concrete project deliverables in a timely manner.
