Job Description Summary GE Vernova are looking for committed service technicians for the Ostrobothnia and South Ostrobothnia regions, who love personal and technical challenges. Your role and focus area will be to maintain, to service and if needed to troubleshoot turbines. To join us as a technician you should have a background as an electrical/mechanical technician with equivalent experience in reading electrical/hydraulic schematics and be comfortable with mechanical drawings. The scope of work is dynamic and will require your best critical thinking for finding different solutions to complex problems. Your daily assignment can range from changing a fuse to replacing a motor or refilling grease. To aid you in your technical growth skill development we provide several internal trainings both at site/online and at multiple global facilities. Job Description Essential Responsibilities You will carry out maintenance, service and repair work on wind turbines. Your day-to-day activities will differ and could include electrical work, mechanical work, maintenance work and reporting. You will work independently and in small teams on troubleshooting and the intensive optimisation of plant operation with regards to performance and running behavior as well as technical availability You like working dynamically with your colleague or team to brainstorm solutions and like to express your ideas. Qualifications/Requirements: Completed vocational training as an electrician or equivalent experience / knowledge Ability to work dynamically in a team and an interest in personal and professional development Flexibility, resilience and motivation as well as willingness to travel (at home and abroad) Pronounced awareness of safety, quality and responsibility. Ability to work at heights (certification will be taken at GE Vernova if not already available) Fluent knowledge of English and preferably Finnish and a class driving license for car and trailer (B or B+E driver license) You already live in the region or are willing to relocate closer to the site, or willing to work on a rotational model.
