GE Vernova Interns are GE’s primary pipeline to full-time employment opportunities as a direct hire. GE Vernova Interns are hired to focus on a particular area within GE Vernova based on availability of positions, the interviewer's assessment, and the applicant's preference.  Focus areas for this internship will be in Grid – Software Solutions within Services and Engineering functions. In this position, the interns will work on solving interesting problems related to Wholesale Energy Markets, including Unit Commitment, Economical Dispatch, Optimal Power flow and other software solutions.  What you'll bring - Basic Qualifications:  Currently enrolled in a Master’s or Ph. D Degree program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator program.  Degree focused on Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering. Minimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPA. Must commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internship. Must be willing to work out of an office located in Bellevue, WA. The pay for this position ranges from $21.00/hr - $36.00/hr based on years of undergraduate/graduate field of study completed. This position is also eligible for: Relocation Assistance:  Co-op/Interns will be reimbursed for reasonable, proper, and documented expenditures incurred while initially reporting to work and returning to school/home upon completion of the assignment. Employees with a permanent address greater than 50 miles away from the work location are eligible. Housing Allowance:  Co-op/Interns employees receive a weekly housing allowance to help off-set living expenses when the co-op/Intern’s permanent residence is at least 50 miles away from the work location.
