Job Description Summary Responsible for Physical security and Security and Crisis Management (SCM) program for the protection of assets and employees Developing conceptual knowledge of professional discipline. May include support roles with specialized expertise or technical knowledge in broad area. Job Description Roles and Responsibilities At the site level: implement and manage the GEV Security and Crisis Management program, identify and mitigate security and crisis management vulnerabilities and report security incidents in the GEV security incident reporting system. Overseeing security operations, managing access, patrolling, monitoring surveillance (CCTV, alarms), responding to incidents, assisting law enforcement, and potentially supervising junior staff, focusing on deterrence, prevention, and emergency management . They ensure a safe environment through vigilance, technology use, and enforcing policies, acting as a first responder and escalating complex issues.   Applies general knowledge of business developed through education or past experience. Understands how work of own team contributes to the area. Resolves issues using established procedures. Consults People Leader or more senior team members for issues outside of defined parameters. Collaborates with others to solve issues. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GEV. Exchanges technical information, asks questions and checks for understanding. Handles simple data entry work requiring face value check and correction. Factory fire license timely renewal & follow-up to ensure compliance. Mock drills to be conducted as per plan and with the co-ordination of EHS manager. Fire extinguishers / Fire alarm system maintenance and maintaining registers without any deviation in due dates. Firefighting training classes conducted for all security guards / security supervisor’s twice in every month. Gate entry / exit for persons / material ( Material inward/Material outward /Visitors management/ Material Returnable/ Material non-Returnable ) to be followed as per site GEV requirements. Incoming couriers & outgoing couriers to be disbursed and mailing process to be maintain. Security shift management as per statutory requirements and scheduling the duties. Act as the first point of contact for breaches, alarms, or suspicious activity; respond to emergencies, manage logs. Maintain detailed records, occurrence books, and assist in investigations and incident reports. Handle security-related inquiries and maintain a professional image with staff, visitors, and authorities. Manage vehicular flow around the premises as needed. Required Qualification: Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with minimum 6+ years of relevant experience Ex-Defence (JCO/NCO) with leadership experience in security & administration will be preferrable. Strong communication, coordination & crisis-handling skills Fluency in English, Tamil & Hindi Desired Characteristics Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Should be Physically and medically Fit. Strong Knowledge of security procedures, drills, and emergency response Ability to handle incidents professionally Basic computer knowledge preferred Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No
