Job Description Summary Electronics Sourcing -Commodity management, Responsible for end-to-end sourcing of PCB (Printed circuit board) assemblies and electronic components required for protection numerical relay production. Top priority dual sourcing Strategy, cost out, on time delivery, and compliance with technical and commercial requirements. Job Description Key Responsibilities: 1. Sourcing Strategy & Supplier Management Develop and execute “ dual source  sourcing strategies for PCBA (Printed circuit board assembly) and electronic components specific to relay applications. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers (local and global) for cost competitiveness, capacity, quality, and innovation. Analyze and manage supplier performance (QCD – Quality, Cost, Delivery). Localization of PCBA to reduce supply risk. Vendor Relation and management 2. Procurement Operations Float RFQs(Request for quotation) and manage the technical-commercial clarification process with engineering and suppliers. Negotiate prices, terms, and long-term agreements (LTAs). Raise info records against to the no source and track delivery schedules along with procurement team to meet production plans. Work closely with Procurement planners/ Suppliers to avoid material shortages and excess. 3. Technical Interface Collaborate with engineering, COE (Center of Excellence), and industrialization teams to align supplier capabilities with product specifications. Validate PCBA BOMs and Gerber files before RFQ release. Coordinate First Article Inspection (FAI), PPAP, or sample validation with quality and R&D teams. Knowledge on HEC coating process and commercials 4. Cost Optimization Drive cost reduction through localization, VA (value analysis)/VE (value engineering), and should-cost analysis. Monitor commodity price trends (e.g., copper, resins, PCBs) and proactively adjust sourcing decisions. Work with Commodity buyers for Polydyne actions and outcomes 5. Quality and Compliance Ensure supplier compliance with industry standards (ISO 9001, IPC-A-610, RoHS, REACH, etc.). Coordinate with SQE (Supplier Quality Engineer) for audits, NCRs(non confirmative reports), and corrective actions. 6. Data Management and Reporting Maintain up-to-date supplier database, contracts, and lead time information. Report sourcing KPIs: cost savings, OTD, supplier performance, etc. Skills and Qualifications: Required: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields. 15-20 years of experience in PCBA/electronic sourcing or procurement in an industrial or electronics manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Relay products, PCB manufacturing processes, SMT, and component-level sourcing. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Proficient in ERP systems (SAP, MS office etc.). Individually handle the issues and resolve in quick time Preferred: Experience in working with global suppliers. Understanding of customs, import-export regulations, and incoterms. Familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma practices in supply chain.
