Job Description Summary The Industrial Plumbing Steamfitter will be responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance and improvement of system-controlled robotics, steam systems, machine tools and equipment. Job Description Job Description Essential Responsibilities As the Industrial Plumbing Steamfitter, you will: Identify and evaluate the condition of hydraulic, steam and HVAC equipment and determine strategy to repair and rebuild Own preventative maintenance, inspections and extensive repairs; diagnose problems, plan and complete work required, identify and order parts Installs & repairs pipes, fixtures, and valves, for water, gas, steam, and air systems. Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation. Assembles fittings and valves for installation. Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed. Uses saws and pipe cutters as necessary. Installs heating and air-conditioning systems, including water heaters. Collaborates with contractors, construction workers, electricians, pipefitters, and steamfitters in installing and repairing plumbing systems. Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems. Analyses problem and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair. Uses a CMMS documenting the problem and summary of actions taken. Requirements Must have at least one of the following: AAS degree in Mechanical or Plant Utilities Technology AOS degree in HVAC or Construction & Maintenance Military Training Course in related field 3 years work experience in a Manufacturing Facility (with references) 3 years proven experience in Commercial HVAC service and installation. Completion of 2 years of a Plumber/Steamfitter Apprentice Program (considered 3rd year apprentice) Journeyman Steamfitter Licensed NYS Plumber ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS: Ability and willingness to work off shifts and weekends Ability and willingness to work 2nd shift (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) Desired Characteristics: Minimum 3 years work experience in Manufacturing Facility in a technical maintenance role Strong mechanical and hydraulic fundamental and safety knowledge (schematics, precision measurement tools, LOTO) The base pay range for this position is $35.68/hr - $43.89/hr. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for contractually negotiated general wage increases and COLA increases. This position is eligible for a $1.00 per hour Night Shift Bonus. *The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
