JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: The Pennsylvania State University at Harrisburg , School of Business Administration, Technology Department is seeking part-time lecturers to teach undergraduate courses in our Information Technology majors for the  Fall 2025 Semester and beyond . Here is a list of the following potential teaching opportunities: These openings are one semester and non-tenure track with the possibility of reappointment. Job Duties Part-time instructors typically teach one to three courses per semester on campus related to undergraduate Information Systems. Part-time lecturers prepare course lessons, evaluate students, hold regular office hours, and are expected to become proficient with Canvas, the University’s learning management system.    Application Development Java, Python, and PHP development (including database, web, and mobile app dev) Classes – IST 140, IST 242, IST 256, IST 311, IST 411, ETI 461, HCDD 340 Analyst / Integrator (Business and Data) Collects, analyzes, and interprets data, processes, and requirements to help companies improve their performance (SAP a plus) Classes – IST 420. IST 421 Database Database design, relational data modeling, SQL query language (MySQL) Optimization and Performance tuning DB concepts, ACID properties Data cleaning and integration, query decomposition, and processing Classes – IST 210, ETI 461, ETI 463   Enterprise Analytics & Web Stacks Analytics and big data, ROI in analytics, using analytics for improved organization performance Enterprise stack platforms, cloud-based infrastructure solutions Classes – ETI 300W, ETI 435 Human Computer Interaction- Usability (UX/UI) Use social, cognitive, and data-driven research to understand the context of use and the user experience. Translates concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences Classes - HCDD 113, HCDD 246, HCDD 364W Management Information Systems application of spreadsheet engineering concepts and principles of data management (MS Excel) Classes – MIS 250, MIS 390 Successful candidates must be able to work effectively with diverse populations and audiences.
