Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.   POSITION SPECIFICS The laboratory of Professor Scott Showalter in the Chemistry Department at The Pennsylvania State University seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position to work in the area of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy applied to investigate post-translational modifications of intrinsically disordered proteins. The position requires a PhD in chemistry with a focus on spectroscopy applied to biomolecules, or an equivalent doctorate in an appropriate field. Researchers with training in nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and eukaryotic gene regulation are preferred, but individuals trained in other fields of biological chemistry are welcome to apply. Interested and qualified applicants should submit applications electronically and include a CV with their research history and a complete list of publications. Following a screening of initial application materials, appropriate candidates will be contacted by email and asked to arrange for letters of recommendation to be sent so that they might be considered further.
