Let’s shape the future of wealth management together. The role of an Intermediaries Associate Relationship Manager (Associate RM) is linked to the respective internal development programme. It is therefore a transitional role for a limited period of time (generally 3 years), with the overall aim of the Associate RM becoming a Relationship Manager (RM) after the successful completion of the programme. The present role profile describes the key features of the position towards the end of the programme, not at the very beginning. The Associate RM is part of a front team and serves Intermediaries clients of the Bank in close collaboration with one or several senior Relationship Managers, other team members, and specialists. This entails the delivery of comprehensive wealth management solutions to meet the clients’ needs as well as dealing with routine enquiries and transactions. Acquisition of new Intermediary client relationships through his/her network is an additional, integral element of the role. YOUR CHALLENGE KEY FEATURES OF THE JOB - Attract prospects, proactively build up an own client book, and retain existing clients in close collaboration with other team members - Proactively ask for support, feedback, and guidance from other relationship managers in the team in developing and maintaining successful client relationships - Respond to all client needs in the highest possible quality and in a timely manner - Provide appropriate investment content in collaboration with specialists (when needed) and in line with internal policies and guidelines while meeting external rules and regulations - Deepen client relationships and continuously optimise client’s potential revenues through the acquisition of additional share of wallet / cross-selling - Match the frequency and intensity of contact based on the client’s preference - Ensure highest level of data security (CID / data privacy) through access management - Provide accurate client relationship documentation formalities at all times including client identification documentation (CDB), account opening forms and other relevant legal forms - Take up client feedback regarding products and services with the relevant specialists within the Bank to ensure continuous improvement and adaptation in line with market trends - Constantly monitor potential risks to protect the Bank and its clients as part of the first line of defence - Create and implement new marketing strategies in conjunction with the Market Head & Group Head - Contribute to strategic initiatives (e.g. to optimise key processes or support new product initiatives) - Participate actively in the Associate RM development programme and engage in the Associate RM Community to share experience and best practice YOUR PROFILE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE JOB PERSONAL AND SOCIAL SKILLS - Very good inter-personal skills, open and approachable, good networker - Good listener with genuine interest in people - Excellent situational adaptability to relate to clients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds - Resilient mentality and ability to work under pressure, feels confident with uncertainty - Motivated, persistent, and persuasive personality - Strong team player - Works autonomously and allocates work time independently - Trustworthy and discreet personality with a high level of risk and compliance awareness - High personal integrity and ethical behaviour - Willingness to learn and grow personally PROFESSIONAL / TECHNICAL SKILLS - Knowledge of global financial markets, interest in market developments and industry trends - Basic cultural understanding of geographical markets to be covered - Understanding of legal & regulatory environment of respective markets and jurisdictions - Good understanding of relevant products, services as well as tools in Private Banking - Ability to match client needs with appropriate product solutions EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - Higher education (e.g. master’s degree of University, MBA, CFA) or other educational background combined with relevant professional experience - Proven track record of 3-5 years’ work experience (preferably in the financial industry) or completion of the Julius Baer front graduate programme - Proficiency in English (spoken and written), additional languages according to specific market requirements RANK APPLICABLE TO THE JOB - Associate Director - Reporting line: Group Head We are looking forward to receiving your full job application through our online application tool.
