Job Title Student Hourly Assistant - Digital Tools and Visualization Support Agency Prairie View A&M University Department School Of Architecture Proposed Minimum Salary $12.50 hourly Job Location Prairie View, Texas Job Type Student Worker Job Description We are seeking a highly capable undergraduate architecture student with strong digital design and documentation skills to support an interdisciplinary research project at the intersection of architecture, data science, and AI. The student will assist with drawing coordination, data representation, visualization of research outputs, and the creation of presentation materials. Job Responsibilities: Produce, organize, and edit digital drawings and diagrams using industry-standard software. Support the development of visual materials for presentations, reports, and research publications. Ability to generate clear 2D and 3D drawings, diagrams, and visualizations. Comfortable working in both technical and conceptual design environments. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines and revisions. Required Education and Experience: Presently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University for at least nine (9) graduate or six (6) undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done. Must be in good academic standing (SAP) as demonstrated through your college; minimum 2.0 GPA Sophomore level or above No prior experience necessary For work eligibility during a summer term, a student must be enrolled for at least three (3) graduate or undergraduate semester credit hours during the term in which the work is to be done or preregistered at least six (6) undergraduate semester hours or nine (9) graduate semester hours for the upcoming fall term. Preferred Education & Experience Architecture Junior or Senior Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino (including Grasshopper is a plus). Strong command of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to generate clear 2D and 3D drawings, diagrams, and visualizations. Comfortable working in both technical and conceptual design environments. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage deadlines and revisions. Experience with 3D rendering tools such as Lumion, Enscape, or V-Ray. Exposure to digital fabrication tools (laser cutting, CNC, 3D printing). Basic understanding of data visualization or environmental analysis tools (e.g., ClimateStudio, Ladybug).
