Continuation past the term length discussed will be based on university need, performance, and/or availability of funding.   POSITION SPECIFICS The Department of Public Health Sciences, Penn State Tobacco Center of Regulatory Science at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a Postdoctoral Scholar. This position will support projects funded by the NIH/FDA and led by Dr. Zachary Bitzer. The scholar’s primary responsibilities will be investigating the health effects of free radical and toxicant production from electronic cigarettes. The experimental approaches will range from in vitro chemistry to animal models and human research. Successful applicants should have a doctoral degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field and skills in analytical chemistry method development (e.g., HPLC-MS/MS, GC-MS/MS). Interested applicants with a range of clinical and laboratory-based skills and doctoral degrees will be considered for the position. Prior experience in assays of tobacco toxicant exposure, while encouraged, is not required. The scholar will be located at the Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
