If you are NOT a current employee or student, please click “Apply” and complete the application process for external applicants .   Approval of remote and hybrid work is not guaranteed regardless of work location. For additional information on remote work at Penn State, see  Notice to Out of State Applicants .   POSITION SPECIFICS The Engineering Division at Penn State Great Valley invites applications for a tenure-track  Assistant Professor of Computer Science  position, starting Fall 202 6 or as mutually agreed.   The successful candidate will teach six graduate-level courses per academic year, advise and mentor students, engage in scholarly research, and contribute to program , campus, and University service. Teaching responsibilities will include both online and on-campus instruction in advanced areas of computer science, with a strong emphasis on Artificial Intelligence and related fields .   We seek   to integrate technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, and generative AI, as well as emerging areas such as agentic AI systems, low-code/no-code AI platforms, and responsible AI practices , into innovative curricula and research that address real-world challenges. Additional interests in clude  computer vision, edge AI for real-time applications, and applied AI in do mains such as cybersecurity and healthcare .     Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a closely related discipline by the start date.     Penn State offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience, in addition to a comprehensive benefit package.
