Job Details: validation and verification (V&V) activities across complex, multi-disciplinary projects. This role ensures that system-level requirements are thoroughly validated using industry-standard methodologies, automation tools, and collaborative engineering practices. The V&V Principal Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the quality, performance, and reliability of transit and embedded systems. Key Responsibilities: System-Level V&V Leadership Lead end-to-end validation and verification planning, execution, and reporting. Collaborate with engineering leads to define and trace system requirements to test cases. Drive integration, formal system testing, and procedure validation activities. Team & Resource Management Manage and mentor V&V engineers, overseeing daily activities and performance. Identify test resource needs and manage V&V schedules and budgets. Test Strategy & Execution Develop and maintain V&V plans, test cases, procedures, and reports. Validate software builds and perform test administration. Maintain and enhance the System Test Environment (STE). Automation & Tools Design and implement automated test suites using: Playwright Selenium Cypress Robot Framework RestAssured Postman PyTest Katalon Studio TestNG Perform API testing and SQL-based data validation . Utilize tools such as TestRail , JIRA , Git , Jenkins , and scripting languages for test management and execution. Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines. Stakeholder Engagement Interface with hardware, software, and systems engineering teams to evaluate test alternatives. Lead Test Readiness Reviews and present V&V status to internal and external stakeholders. Manage and resolve system-level ARQs and issues. Continuous Improvement Stay updated on industry best practices in V&V and test automation. Evaluate vendor capabilities and contribute to procurement decisions. Drive process improvements and standardization across V&V activities. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s in Technology (B.Tech) or Master’s in Computer Applications (MCA) or related field. Minimum 12+ years of experience in software/system testing, including manual and automated testing. Proven experience in validation and verification of complex engineering or embedded systems. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile, and V-model methodologies. Preferred Skills: Experience in Transit domain or Automated Fare Collection Systems (AFCS) . Proficiency in Playwright , Selenium , Cypress , API testing , SQL , C++, C#, Java, UNIX, TCP/IP, VB . Hands-on experience with TestRail , JIRA , and test automation frameworks. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Generative AI : Exposure to GenAI/ML tools for testing (e.g., GitHub Copilot) BDD : Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development frameworks like Cucumber Performance Testing : Basic knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter ISTQB Foundation level or above.
