Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.​ This self-starting and motivated individual, as part of the Foundry Maintenance team, will be responsible for maintaining, testing and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components. They will be responsible for triaging work as needed and applying their own knowledge of electrical/electronics and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and restoring equipment to operation. The Foundry Maintenance Mechanic provides skilled mechanical and electrical/electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing. This position reports to the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor, and is on site based in Franklin, NH. Standard hours are 10 pm – 6am Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gages and test equipment. Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment. Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements. Advises operators and line mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components. Informs appropriate management and maintenance mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved. Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment. Performs preventive maintenance functions as directed. Assists maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting and may train other members of the maintenance team. Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Foundry Maintenance Supervisor or Company management. Travel Requirements: up to 10% for training as needed Required Qualifications  3+ years of proven experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas. Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary.  Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. A thorough knowledge of electrical/ electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes. Must be able to work respectfully and professionally with all levels of personnel whether individually or in a team environment and especially must be able to clearly interface and communicate with line operators in order to assist with repairs and troubleshooting. Willing to work overtime as required. High degree of precision working with minimum tolerances required.  Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable. Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including [insert checks], and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience with cutting, welding and fabrication preferred. Working Conditions: While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site in a manufacturing facility. You will be required to work at the Company’s Franklin location in NH. Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager. Physical Requirements : Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to: Ability to stand for long periods of time. Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds. Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds. Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor. Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.
