Must have at least one year of licensed RN experience Schedule: Monday - Saturday 3:45am - 5:00pm, including every other Saturday This location has two treatment areas within the clinic, the larger side has 15 chairs and is staffed with 1 RN and 3 dialysis technicians. The smaller side has 12 chairs and is staffed with 1 RN and 2 dialysis technician Shift differential for travel, paid mileage Compensation increases as you complete different levels of training and take on more responsibility! We are looking for someone that works well in a team, able to take and give redirection if/when needed, not afraid to speak up and communicate, critical thinker. Details & Benefits Comprehensive benefits: Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid time off, PTO cash out Support for you and your family: family resources, EAP counseling sessions, access Headspace®, backup child and elder care, maternity/paternity leave, pet insurance, and more Paid training: Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic other than your assigned home clinic ICHD Registered Nurse Day to Day 30%: Supervises and performs direct patient care including but not limited to taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments, taking and transcription of physician’s orders, drawing and documentation of ordered laboratory work 20%: Provides dialysis therapy, including but not limited to formulating dialysis plan per physician orders, weight and rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures are in place and complied with, administering medications or other appropriate treatments, discontinuing dialysis according to established procedure, documenting all activity appropriately 20%: Analyzes patient assessments, laboratory data and, when concerns are noted, brings issues to the attention of the physician. Notes signs of trauma, patients’ general physical and mental condition, reviews dialysis orders, documents observations in patient medical records. Communicates all emergencies, patient life-threatening complications and related incidents to supervisor, Medical Director, Regional Operations Director, Facility or Group Facility Administrator 15%: Assesses patient and family learning readiness and provides appropriate information on renal disease, prescribed dialysis treatment, and medical regimen and its impact on the patient’s state of health and well-being. Participates in the development and implementation of the patient’s short- and long-term plan of care and monthly progress note Requirements Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree At least 1 year of experience working as a licensed nurse You might also have experience in the following that can be helpful but not required Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN) Employment at DaVita is contingent upon successfully passing a drug screen and a background check At DaVita, we strive to be a community first and a company second.
