About the Position We are looking to hire an experienced Financial Transmission Right (FTR) trader to help trade congestion products in multiple Independent System Operators/Regional Transmission Organizations (ISO/RTO), conduct research, and design trading strategies.  We’re looking for someone who is passionate about this line of work and is eager to make an immediate impact. You will join our growing FTR team in New York and work alongside analysts and other experienced FTR traders, with the ability to collaborate with various trading desks across the firm. We’ll rely on your strong knowledge of the market to analyze trades and positions, examine trading ideas, and mentor analysts on the desk.  Staying competitive as we’ve grown has required constant invention — of new trading strategies, technology, and processes. This is an exciting opportunity to join an expanding function of our firm’s work, and we’ll endeavor to put your quick-thinking and problem-solving skills to good use. About You 2+ years of experience working as an FTR trader, or a similar role Strong working knowledge of any ISO/RTO Experience with the complete life cycle of a strategy and risk management of the portfolio Experience with modeling and programming techniques Analytical; comfortable leveraging probability and statistics to solve problems Reliable and flexible team player with a positive attitude Comfortable working and making decisions in a fast-paced environment Motivated self-starter who can handle competing priorities Strong communication and interpersonal skills Eager to learn, adaptive, responsible    If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to agency-partnerships@janestreet.com.
