About the Position The Operations team is critical to our trading at Jane Street. The team manages the processes that connect us to the outside world, and those that connect us internally. We aim to move assets, information, and ideas in ways that are accurate, controlled, and efficient. There are many tough problems to solve and we are big believers in finding exceptional, smart people to tackle them. Operations is a collaborative, integrated group where the pace is quick and the best idea wins. As a member of the team, you’ll play a key part in an area focused on trade settlements, trade record and position management, or cost and cash management. You’ll work closely with external service providers and trading partners as well as colleagues in your local office and around the world. Together, you’ll resolve issues that arise from our complex trading flows and ensure our processes are running smoothly.  If you’ve never considered a career in finance, you’re in good company as many of us had our introduction to finance at Jane Street. We are more interested in how you think and how you learn. You will engage with a wide range of financial products including equities, bonds, ETFs, futures, and swaps, even if you have no prior knowledge or experience. We are looking for someone bright and eager to learn starting from Day One. About You Bachelor’s degree required 1-2 years experience Enjoys working with large data sets to find patterns and identify irregularities Can easily navigate Excel, and loves to find faster ways to process data Self-motivated, detail-oriented critical thinker who can multitask in a fast-moving, highly intellectual environment Humble attitude about what is known or unknown; not afraid to ask questions Reliable and flexible team player with a positive demeanor Interested in learning more about finance and the day-to-day operations of the firm No financial industry experience required or expected Fluency in English is required If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to agency-partnerships@janestreet.com.
