Role Summary: This role is part of the Finance team and will support the Oncology Business Unit at AstraZeneca Canada. The role will work closely with Finance Business Partners and cross-functional team members to plan and analyze financial performance against strategic objectives.  You are joining a team of individuals is leading a culture that is science and patient-focused, agile and high-performing.  Your role within this Finance team will be to work collaboratively with the other Finance colleagues to share best practices and influence the ambitious growth of AstraZeneca.  Your role in helping us achieve our leadership ambition will be to: Support the entire Finance function with a focus on Finance Business Partnering, FP&A and Controlling across a range of responsibilities This position is will play an integral role in digitizing Finance while seeking out new ways to add value to each finance function.  In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with other functions in AstraZeneca, as you support the various Finance Business Partners which in turn work directly with the Business Units.  You will gain experience in several core financial areas such as: Business Planning, Financial Analysis, and Profit/Cost Center management.  Accountabilities/Responsibilities: Support the Finance team with a range of responsibilities, including: Serving as a key liaison between the Finance teams Developing financial processes and tools to drive more timely support and improved insights for the business Partner with cross-functional team members to enhance planning and insights capabilities through dashboards to present and analyze financial data Working closely with the Finance Business Partners to navigate through business and financial planning cycles Advance adoption of AI capabilities across finance tools and processes Think critically and support the Finance team to solve business challenges Provide support and lead elements of the month-end financial review engagements with key stakeholders Support the monthly, quarterly, annual and multi-year planning and forecasting process Qualifications: Pursuing of hold post-secondary degree or higher in Business, Finance or Accounting with experience in Computer Science an asset Knowledge of financial concepts and management accounting Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Experience with Python, Tableau, PowerPivot, VBA/Macros, SQL or other related software is desirable Strong Problem Solving and analytical skills; solutions oriented Ability to participate in collaborative teamwork Strong communication skills: interpersonal, writing and presentation Self-starter, initiative, ability to work in dynamic environments Project Management experience Holds (or working towards) accounting designation is preferred but not required Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2026. Our position will be based in our Mississauga head office and allow for flexible working arrangements working both onsite (2-3 times per week) and virtually. Annual base salary for this position ranges from $41,495.20 to $54,462.45. AstraZeneca is committed to providing fair and equitable compensation opportunities to all colleagues. The range provided in this posting represents an offer pay range used in a majority of situations. The base pay offered will vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including the candidate's skills and experience, job-related knowledge, and other specific business and organizational needs.  In some cases, offers outside the range may also be considered to address unique circumstances. In addition, our permanent positions offer an annual Variable Pay Bonus/Short Term Incentive opportunity as well as eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (if applicable to role).  Benefits offered for permanent roles include a competitive Flex Benefits & Retirement Savings Program, 4 weeks’ paid vacation, and annual Personal Days.
