We are looking for enthusiastic individuals to join Meijer as a DSD (Direct Store Delivery) Receiving Clerk. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring that our inventory is accurately received and processed As a DSD Receiving Clerk, you will unload and verify incoming shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and in good condition and accurately document and record inventory. You will also work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any receiving-related issues. Handle and process returns according to company policy. Keep Our Store Running Smoothly — Behind the Scenes and Beyond Must be 18 years of age. Full-Time and Part-Time opportunities available. Current/Past experience as a Logistics Coordinator, Warehouse Associate, Inventory Specialist, Shipping & Receiving Clerk a plus   What will you be doing? Receives direct store delivery products such as soda, chips, alcohol, etc. Checks for accuracy, resolves discrepancies, and assesses product for damage. Checks inventory on trucks, unloads products, and ensures accuracy of inventory, product ordering, and associated paperwork. Monitors activity by ensuring products are stocked correctly and advising vendors of necessary actions such as cleaning shelves and designated backroom areas. Advises department managers of issues regarding vendor or product problems. Monitors inventory levels, and reports supply and demand inconsistencies. Provides friendly and customer service-oriented attitude by greeting customers, answering questions, and responding to customer complaints. Maintains clean, safe and sanitary working and shopping environment by adhering to Company safety procedures. What skills will you use? You are detail-oriented and organized. Ability to safety operate pallet jack; or any warehouse equipment Strong listening and communications skills, face-to-face and virtually. Willingness to learn or existing familiarity with job-specific technology. Problem-solving competence and eagerness to troubleshoot when necessary. You are process-driven and able to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way. You work well in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work well with fellow partners and promote a team environment. Ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend, and twist while handling product. Ability to stand for long periods of time
