Department: Psychology Department Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Department of Psychological Science invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026. UA Little Rock is a doctoral-intensive metropolitan university serving a diverse student body of approximately 10,000 full- and part-time students. The Department of Psychological Science houses one of the largest undergraduate degree programs at UALR with about 600 active majors, state-of-the-art classrooms, and both flexible and fixed laboratory resources (e.g., statistics, developmental, user experience and AI, and cognition, financial stress and health laboratories.) Support for faculty and student-engaged research and the pursuit of extramural funding is possible. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: Ph.D. in Psychology, ABD considered. Preferred Education and Experience: A focus in one of the following: Human Factors, Emotion and Motivation, Learning, Psychometrics, Quantitative Psychology, or Human Experimental Psychology. Experience teaching Psychological Statistics and Research Methods in Psychology. Existing scholarship in area of expertise. Job Duties and/or Responsibilities: Teaching to include courses in Statistics and Research Methods;  Exhibit a commitment to writing in the discipline; Engage in research and scholarship activities; Supervise student research and internships; Advise students in the major; Participate in service activities in the program, college, university, and the Little Rock community.
