About the Role: CrowdStrike is seeking a Data Protection Manager to lead our enterprise data protection strategy and team. This leadership position will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive data protection programs, building and managing a high-performing team, and establishing governance frameworks that align with business objectives and compliance requirements. What You'll Do: Strategic Leadership: Build and lead a data protection team, including hiring, mentoring, and developing team members Develop and maintain the enterprise data classification framework and labeling strategy Establish data governance policies and procedures Create and oversee the data stewardship program Program Management: Design and implement data protection controls across all data stores Establish data ownership model and accountability framework Lead the development of data handling standards and procedures Oversee data protection impact assessments Manage relationships with key stakeholders including Legal, IT, and Product Business Units Technical Oversight: Guide the implementation of DLP solutions and data protection tools Oversee eDiscovery programs and processes Guide the development of data inventory and mapping initiatives Ensure proper data retention and disposal practices Risk Management: Develop risk assessment methodologies for data protection Create and maintain data protection metrics and reporting Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards What You'll Need: Leadership Experience: 5+ years of privacy or information security experience 2+ years of specialized experience in data protection Team management experience Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of data protection technologies and tools Experience with data classification tools and methodologies Knowledge of eDiscovery platforms and processes Familiarity with cloud security and data protection controls Business Acumen: Experience developing and managing program budgets Ability to translate technical requirements into business value Track record of successful cross-functional program implementation Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field Relevant certifications (CIPM, CIPP, CISSP, etc.) or equivalent experience preferred Experience with regulatory compliance (GDPR, CCPA, etc.) Additional Requirements: Experience developing data governance frameworks Knowledge of data lifecycle management Understanding of privacy by design principles Ability to influence senior leadership and drive organizational change Excellent communication and presentation abilities #LI-Remote #LI-AO1 Benefits of Working at CrowdStrike: Market leader in compensation and equity awards Comprehensive physical and mental wellness programs  Competitive vacation and holidays for recharge   Paid parental and adoption leaves Professional development opportunities for all employees regardless of level or role Employee Networks, geographic neighborhood groups, and volunteer opportunities to build connections Vibrant office culture with world class amenities Great Place to Work Certified™ across the globe CrowdStrike is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Placement within the pay range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location. The base salary range for this position for all U.S. candidates is $125,000 - $180,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses, equity grants and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, 401k and paid time off.
