Department: Psychology Department Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: The Department of Psychological Science invites applicants for a full-time, nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor position beginning August 2026. UA Little Rock is a doctoral-intensive metropolitan university serving a diverse student body of approximately 10,000 full- and part-time students. The Department of Psychological Science houses one of the largest undergraduate degree programs at UALR with about 600 active majors, state-of-the-art classrooms, and both flexible and fixed laboratory resources (e.g., statistics, developmental, user experience and AI and cognition, financial stress and health laboratories.) Support for faculty and student-engaged research and the pursuit of extramural funding is possible. Qualifications: Required Education and Experience: Ph.D. in Psychology, ABD considered. Preferred Education and Experience:  A focus in one of the following: Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or Human Experimental Psychology; Experience teaching Psychological Statistics and Research Methods in Psychology; Existing scholarship in area of expertise. Job Duties: Teaching to include courses in Statistics and Research Methods;  Exhibit a commitment to writing in the discipline; Engage in research and scholarship activities; Supervise student research and internships; Advise students in the major; Participate in service activities in the program, college, university, and the Little Rock community; Other duties as assigned.
