Department: Counseling, Leadership, and Research Methods Department's Website: https://clrm.uark.edu/ Summary of Job Duties: The Assistant Professor of Adult and Lifelong Learning is a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position in the Department of Counseling, Leadership, and Research Methods in the College of Education and Health Professions at the University of Arkansas. The duties and responsibilities of this position include: teaching graduate courses in adult and lifelong learning; conducting research that results in refereed publications and professional presentations; pursuing external funding; chairing/serving on doctoral advisory and dissertation committees; and engaging in service activities in the program, department, college, university, and professional/scholarly organizations. Consistent on-campus presence and active engagement in departmental life are essential functions of this position. Extensive in-person engagement in activities such as office hours, collaborative work, and departmental, college, and university committee meetings is expected to advance departmental effectiveness and support the college and university's mission. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
