Department: Nursing Department Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: Tenure track, 9-month Assistant Professor appointment in the RN program. This position is governed by state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy. Qualifications: Required Education and/or Experience: Masters in Nursing; Recent clinical and teaching experience in a successful accredited nursing program; Current unencumbered AR or multi-compact states RN licensure is required. Preferred Education and/or Experience: Doctoral degree in nursing or related field or current enrollment in a doctoral program is preferred; Teaching experience and recent experience in nursing practice or nursing education in the area(s) of program need is preferred. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Teach, advise, mentor and evaluate students. Participate in service to the university, community and profession. Establish and maintain a program of scholarly activities. Conduct clinical and classroom experiences designed to meet student and program learning outcomes. Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient in Microsoft office program including but not limited to Word, Excel, and Power Point. Ability to create, maintain, and track detailed data bases. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with student, staff, faculty, and outside agencies. Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects. Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to drive and operate a vehicle. Ability to travel within the state.
