This PRN role involves implementing therapeutic plans under the supervision of a physical therapist, focusing on promoting mobility, reducing pain, restoring function, and preventing disability. This PTA position will primarily treat residents in the Arkansas State Veterans Home, skilled nursing facility, as well as some patients in our outpatient therapy clinic. Daily care will include gait training, balance exercises, strength training, endurance exercises, and functional mobility. Additionally, the PTA educates patients and caregivers, ensures compliance with UAMS policies and HIPAA standards, and operates and maintains physical therapy equipment.
