Department: COM | Peds HS Head Start Program Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: We are looking for a Child Care Teacher I/II/III to work at the Head Start/Early Head Start program. The Child Care Teacher I/II/III will be responsible for planning and implementing a daily program for the children in the center. The Child Care Teacher I/II/III will also be responsible for supervising the children and ensuring their safety at all times. Qualifications: Child Care Teacher I: High School diploma/GED with a (CDA) Child Development Associates credential in infant-toddler, plus one (1) year of early childhood experience. Child Care Teacher II: Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field, or Associate's degree with at least six (6) credit hours in early childhood education, plus one (1) year of early childhood experience. ​ Child Care Teacher III: Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field with at least six (6) credit hours in early childhood education plus one (1) year of experience in early childhood Education or related field. Responsibilities: Creates and maintains an atmosphere conducive to learning, both through physical classroom materials and instructional activities. Implement approved regular goals while utilizing techniques necessary to motivate learning in small children. Make regular assessments of instructional classroom materials and communicate the need for replacement or repair as needed.
