Create, coordinate, and evaluate the financial programs, activities and supporting management information systems of the company to ensure budgeting (annual), rolling forecasting (quarterly), reporting (monthly) as well as cash flow planning, and conservation of assets. 1. In close alignment with ZEISS Greater China Corporate finance, oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, ledger, and account maintenance and data entry. Implement procedures and controls necessary for the approval / disapproval of all bills. the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports and oversee monthly, half-year and year-end closing and auditing of the Segment all records systems, financial analysis and reporting of expenditures, assets and liabilities are maintained in accordance with the requirements of proper accounting principles (IFRS and Local GAAP). 2. Establish and maintain appropriate internal control safeguards and ensure that all legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions is kept. 3. Review commercial contract (including dealer, key account), assess the financial impact on the clauses and make recommendation for amendment. 4. Review rebate, pricing, discount scheme and influence appropriately the SBU VPs to balance the revenue growth v.s. profitablity 5. Proactively analyze cash flow, cost controls, and expenses to guide business leaders. Analyze financial statements to pinpoint potential weak areas. Ensure that accurate and timely financial information is reported to various internal and external contacts 6. Lead the rolling forecast and budget for the responsible business group. This includes: manage the calendar and due dates from internal stakeholders, create value added analytics supporting investments, complete timely and accurate schedules and build a zero based budget. 7. Deliver accurate rolling forecast on Revenue, Opex and EBIT, MC. Utilize metrics and analytics, interactions with other departments and business acumen to support the forecasts. Continually drive the team for improved analytics to increase forecast accuracy. 8. Develop and direct the implementation of MTP and/or operational plans, projects, programs, and systems. 9. Oversee the monthly closing of the financial books. Utilize staff to highlight business issues and levers to improve profitability via enhanced reporting. 10. Perform detailed working capital reviews and analysis and initiate optimization measures. 11. Use financial modeling to support decisions such as pricing, rebate program, fixed asset investment and other strategic projects in Greater China . 12. Provide clear, concise and accurate presentations/analysis to Senior Management with minimal lead time 13. Supervise, coach, motivate and develop the subordinate staff in the finance department 14. Perform other duties as assigned by the superior. Education Minimum of Bachelor degree in Finance or Business Administration MBA or CPA/ACCA is preferred Experience 10+ years of progressive finance experience 3~5 years experience of people management role, partnering with executive staff. High level analytical capabilities with a record of successful financial modeling experience Proven record of successful individual and team process improvement actions Experience with data mining, finance information automation, and Power BI is an advantage Skills and Competencies Technical competencies Accounting and Internal Control: Solid understanding of IFRS and local GAAP Strong understanding of internal control and ability to drive internal control improvement Financial Planning and Analysis : Managing budging and forecasting process Utilizes key metrics to measure and communicate results Deep understanding of P&L drivers, inter ‐ related elements and market System & Analytic tools: Proficient user of SAP/BW, Advanced user of MS Office 360, Essbase smartview, MIS/CORA (ability to train / power user) Expert of the analytical tools such as sensitivity/scenario analysis, benchmarking, cost breakeven etc. and leverage data to drive insights and influence Process and project management skills: understand workflow, assign tasks and milestone, communicate progress with key stakeholders.
