Job Family : Investigator Travel Required : None Clearance Required : None What You Will Do : The responsibilities of the Analyst will include, but are not limited to: Performing AML alert/case reviews, seeking to mitigate risks associated to financial crimes and suspicious activity. Applying research and analytic techniques to digest complex information sets in order to make logical and adequately supported determinations in regard to unusual and potentially suspicious activity. Applying consistent and well-documented analysis consistent with industry standards to ensure success in the following daily efforts of Transaction Monitoring:  Conducting an end-to-end and meticulous review of potential illegal or suspicious activity;  Completing a time-sensitive and meticulous analysis of each instance of potential Anti-Money Laundering activity and/or suspicious financial activity across multiple jurisdictions and countries;  Assessment of customer profiles and client data to identify whether activity is consistent with typical purchasing/payment activity, including Acceptable Use Policy adherence and Know Your Customer efforts; Documenting findings in narrative style format, in the manual and automated process case management system and prepare updates to Project Managers / Team Leads as appropriate; and Make determinations for potential Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filings. What You Will Need : 5 days in office requirement. Bachelor degree and minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in Transaction Monitoring and SAR preparation. However, relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree. Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., BSA, OFAC, FinCEN guidance). Experience working with manual and system generated alerts/cases for the detection of potentially suspicious activity. Ability to assess risks and identify deviations. Knowledge of reporting requirements as it relates to suspicious activity reports and transaction activity. Ability to detect and mitigate red flags for potential financial crime, including money laundering, terrorism financing activities and fraud, as it appears in transactional data. Solid Excel Skills. What Would Be Nice To Have : 3+ years of experience assessing and reviewing system generated and manual AML alerts and/or escalations/SAR write-ups for potentially suspicious activity. CAMS or ICA certification.  Experience with OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) Techniques. End to end understanding of Transaction Monitoring/ KYC/ Screening/ Fraud Operations/Jurisdiction specific SAR filing/Narrative from documentary and non-documentary verification and as per relevant policy, nature of business, source of wealth/funds, and customer screening against the watchlist of Sanctions, PEP, and adverse media. Ability to conduct detailed investigations using vendors and open sources to remediate compliance alerts and to independently research, analyze, and recommend solutions to close open items and discrepancies.
