Job Description Position Overview: We’re seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the monthly close process and support the technical accounting needs of our lease-to-own and consumer financing businesses. This role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and scalable accounting practices as we continue to grow and expand. How you’ll make an impact: Manage the full monthly and quarterly close process across leasing and lending entities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP. Oversee reconciliations, journal entries, and close checklists in BlackLine to maintain control integrity and streamline processes. Lead the preparation of consolidated financial statements and supporting schedules for management and external reporting. Research, interpret, and document complex accounting issues including lease classification, revenue recognition (ASC 842 and 606), and allowance methodologies. Draft technical accounting memos and lead internal discussions with external auditors. Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls, process documentation, and accounting policies to support SOX compliance and audit readiness. Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Treasury, and Audit teams to ensure alignment on financial reporting and process improvements. Identify and drive initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy within accounting operations. Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering accountability, growth, and collaboration. What you’ll need to succeed: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred. 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 2+ years in a supervisory or management role and 2+ years in public accounting. Strong understanding of lease-to-own or consumer financing accounting principles and month-end close processes. Proficiency with NetSuite, BlackLine, and advanced Excel skills. Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting matters to non-finance partners. Analytical, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. What would make you stand out: Experience in fintech, financial services, or consumer lending environments. Familiarity with ASC 842 and lease accounting frameworks. Experience managing audits or implementing new accounting processes or systems.
