Let’s be #BrilliantTogether Overview ISS STOXX is hiring! We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Business Data Analyst (SQL) to join our team. In this role, you will analyze data to support strategic product enhancements and provide actionable insights. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify trends, create compelling visualizations, and support decision-making. ISS Market Intelligence houses a wealth of critical data essential to customer workflows. As we continue to grow, we are expanding our team to strengthen our production organization’s ability to analyze current and future data sets. Responsibilities Quickly develop a strong understanding of available data sets and products Collaborate with cross-functional teams to explore and analyze new data sets Map and integrate new data sources Work with Product and Development teams to report and resolve data issues Levera ge data intelligence tools to identify insights and recommend long-term strategies Advocate for the use of new product data across Sales and Management teams Maintain and update internal documentation and data guides/dashboards Work with Data Operations and Development teams to onboard new data sources Create and manage Jira tickets as needed Support various product, scrum, and development teams across multiple workflows Qualifications Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitative or analytical field such as Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Management or a related discipline Must have at least 2 years of professional experience in data analytics or database structures Professional experience in analyzing data using SQL and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau Exposure to statistical analysis and data modeling is an advantage Proficient in using Microsoft Excel; knowledgeable in writing macros and using PowerQuery is a plus. Skills & Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Skilled in identifying data trends, patterns, and anomalies High attention to detail and accuracy in data documentation Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to translate complex data findings into actionable insights Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn about business operations and emerging technologies A passion for solving business challenges through data Data visualization certifications are a plus.
